Behind this advanced material is the entire production process, from growing cotton, through processing and dyeing, to masterwork on knitting machines.









Filoscozia®



The base of our socks is cotton. In order to preserve the luxurious appearance and uncompromising properties, we have selected the best mercerized cotton available on the market.

As the name suggests, this cotton is native to Scotland and the unique mercerization process was developed by John Mercer.

Filoscozia® is a registered brand of Filmar (Italy), which has long been among the leaders in the production of textile materials and has perfected mercerized cotton.

Filoscozia® is a double mercerized cotton, twisted from two fibers with a thickness of Ne 60 and dyed with natural dyes.

It is a very thin and durable material with striking colors and a silky appearance, which emphasizes knitting on very precise two-roller machines.









Cotton cultivation



Our cotton is produced in Egypt exclusively from the highest quality cotton types (ELS), with fibers over 33/35 mm in length.

This cotton is harvested by hand, which makes it possible to pick the fruit just at the optimal ripeness and avoid the use of defoliants that are harmful to nature.









Cotton processing



This cotton is then processed in Italy.

It is combed into fibers which are subsequently tanned with heat, stretched and mercerized. After drying, the cotton is dyed with natural dyes and two thin fibers are twisted together.

The socks retain their quality, comfort and elegance even after many washes.
